JAUNU
‘JAUNU’ the fourth album by HOERA., weaves new sounds and structures with samples of the Lithuanian chamber choir ‘Jauna Muzika’.
Together with conductor Vaclovas Augustinas and the 24 singers they recorded an archive of original audio material in the LRT studio in Vilnius.
Instead of using the recorded material as is, they created a digital identity of the choir, a processed version that could be manipulated through sampling and performed again later in the studio. With the choir as a new instruments they performed in trio in the studio. They discovered new sounds and structures in dialogue with the Lithuanian chamber choir samples.
‘JAUNU’ presents the resulting sonic world of a 24 singers choir performed by HOERA.

PRACHT
For the recording of this album, Bert, Stijn & Dries went to a little village called Bigonville. With a “summer holidays are coming” feeling, and surrounded by birds, trees and hills, this music was played….. and everybody was happy.
